Myth of the Floating Anima

This work is a haunting centerpiece of Tropical Surrealism, depicting what appears to be a transcendental or shamanic journey through the subconscious. A luminous, reclining figure acts as the focal point, seemingly suspended in a liminal space between a dreamlike indigo void and a dense thicket of spectral, white-lined apparitions. To the left, a grotesque, demonic totem looms with jagged intensity, while above, a benevolent yet wide-eyed feline or primate-like guardian watches over the transition. The composition uses a fluid, ethereal energy to suggest the "Spirit World" of Bali—a place where the boundaries between the physical body and the ancient myths of the jungle are entirely dissolved, leaving only the radiant soul exposed to the gaze of the gods.
